Our client is an esteemed financial company, with headquarters in Luxembourg. We are currently looking to recruit an Experienced Buyer to manage the full purchasing life cycle of indirect spend (Manager level).
In that role, you will take responsibility for leading complex procurement projects in a fast paced environment such as developing category sourcing strategies and plans, management of tendering processes, negotiating terms and conditions and establishing supply agreements with preferred vendors.
Your main responsibilities:
Define strategies for indirect purchasing categories, liaising with business owners and their teams to define requirements
Identify new suppliers who are capable of delivering sustainable cost reduction and improved service levels
Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with suppliers at all levels of the organization
Maximize suppliers’ performance and efficiency
Manage and monitor contracts life cycle
Continuously improve sourcing processes throughout the company by defining and implementing KPI's
Conduct contract reviews and supplier management and product cost analysis and cost management
You have a background and solid experience (7+ years) within indirect procurement, preferably in the financial industry; you are likely to be a graduate, with experience in an international company.
Either way you are confident, energetic, self-driven and thrive from achieving personal and professional goals and you are driven by promoting strategic supplier partnerships across the business.
You must also be able to demonstrate a team-orientated approach in addition to the following:
Displays solid stakeholder management skills, able to make a personal impact and influence all levels of management
Ability to, and experience of implement fit for purpose sourcing strategies at an operational level
Experienced contracts negotiator able to influence complex negotiations & manage contracts through their life-cycle measuring & driving demanding service levels
Achievement of innovative results and proven track record of significant cost savings
Self motivated and good team player
Proficient basic knowledge of contract law
Proficient financial analysis skills
IT literate with solid Excel skills
Fluency in English and French, another language would be an asset
