Our client is a major and worldwide Internet player with more than 400M accounts registered all around the world. The company provides its customers with a unique service, allowing them to keep in touch with each other.
For its Luxembourgish entity, we are mandated to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel in Privacy Law.

Mission

 The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for shaping and strengthening our client’s global policies with respect to privacy, Internet Communications and data security.
 You will ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations and promote the privacy of our client’s users.
 You will manage privacy issues arising in connection with our client’s internet communications software products, which are often high profile, complex and challenging.
 You will work with the various business units, the government relations and law enforcement teams as well as other members of the legal team on new and existing products, policies and processes.

Profile

 In order to be successful in this role, you have 6-9 years PQE (gained in both private practice and in-house).
 You have practical work experience within telecommunications or internet communications industry.
 You are fluent in English and French/German.
 You have a relevant privacy experience including :
- In-depth advisory on privacy and electronic communications legislation from minimum one EU member state, multiple and other jurisdictions a plus.
- Independent planning and implementation of corporate privacy and data security policies.
- Experience in a global corporation and technology/telecommunications sectors.
