"The Rise of Print" - Worldwide, 2012-2013
Outside the mainstream, publishing is thriving through creativity, innovative business models and, above all, fantastic magazines.
Colophon exists to celebrate the best in independent publishing from around the world. We have created publications and events in New York, London, Vienna and Luxembourg, aimed showcasing the most inspiring work that exists beyond the traditional newsstand.
Our next event, The Rise of Print, will be a travelling exhibition staged in different venues throughout 2012, starting in Luxembourg on 9th March. The book "The Rise of Print" will be released on March 8th, 2012.
To assist us in organizing this event, we are looking, from 15/10/2011 until 15/03/2012, for an intelligent, resourceful, courageous and efficient trainee.
Student’s Profile
- Studies in communication, marketing, event management, design, etc.
- Minimum third year of study
- Bilingual French/English (other language is an advantage)
- Good computer skills (word, excel, email and internet)
Assigned tasks
The tasks will be linked to the overall organization of Colophon 2012, particularly:
- Updateting the database of independent magazines
- Media exchanges between Colophon and 100/200 independent magazines
- Collaboration in the organization and production of the exhibition "The Rise of Print"
- Production assistance
- Communication support
