Our client is a well-known Trust company that provides a wide range of Corporate Services, Fiduciary Services and Fund Administration. As they are about to launch their activities in Luxembourg, we are currently looking for a Managing Director (m/f).
The Managing Director will be responsible for the effective operation, supervision and management of fiduciary services activities in Luxembourg and broaden the group market share in Private Equity, Real Estate Funds, Structured Finance and Corporate Services.
Your mission:
Business responsibilities:
• Responsible for establishing a fiduciary operation capable of providing corporate and fund administration services and obtaining approvals from the CSSF.
• Establish the S.A.R.L. entity in Luxembourg and ensure a PFS and fund license is obtained.
• Implementation and development of business strategies which are consistent with the group strategies.
• Ensure all duties and responsibilities established in all laws, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines are observed.
• Ensure effective management and organising business so that every employee is aware of its responsibilities.
• Liaise with the Group Executive, all Partners and all other relevant groups and support services.
• Undertake business development and client care efforts.
• Monitor the company’s performance.
• Preparation of a regular report concerning the office activities and major achievements.
• Participation in quarterly meetings of the Board of Directors.
• Development and implementation of direct management reporting lines.
Team management responsibilities:
• Review and provide recommendations concerning team member salaries and bonuses.
• Set up objectives for direct reports in a timely and objective manner.
• Ensure effective performance management and appraisals for all indirect reports through the relevant service line managers.
• Ensure effective time and resource management, conduct interviews, monitor and maintain team members work loads.
• Initiate and prepare training seminars for staff and clients.
Fiduciary Services management:
• Supervise all fiduciary services work which includes a clear understanding of the statutory and regulatory requirements to Jersey, Guernsey and Luxembourg entities to which fiduciary services are provided in or from Luxembourg.
• To serve as a Director of client entities on an as needed basis in accordance with the Group guidelines and procedures relating to director services and an ability to deal with day to day issues.
• Act as a contact person for all Luxembourg related clients
Your profile:
• A graduate degree preferably in finance or legal.
• Preferably professional qualifications such as ACCA, Banking qualification…
• At least 10 to 15 years of practical experience in positions of similar seniority.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of French, Dutch or German would be an asset.
