Our Client, an international, publically traded Energy group, is currently seeking an experienced High Calibre Accountant (M/F) to join there growing team here in Luxembourg, with a view to being trained for a management role in the future.
The Role:
• Participate in general office tasks and file updates
• Manage account payable and any related treasury function
• Record payable invoices in Peoplesoft and banking software
• Prepare bank reconciliations, update the cash book and record receipts
• Perform accounting entries and financial reporting activity
• Prepare and review the month end results
• Conduct monthly balance sheet analysis
• Record payroll entries
• Maintain the fixed assets file
• Process intercompany transactions and ensure appropriate documentation
• Assist with Budget and Forecast preparation
• Prepare monthly VAT and other tax returns
• Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts
• Record loans and all related interests.
• Ensure SOX compliance
The Profile:
• An accounting Degree
• Fluent in both French and English
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of Luxembourgish accounting regulations and LUX GAAP would be a plus
• Detail oriented, organized and open minded, with a Team player’s attitude
• Takes initiative and solve problems with minimal supervision
• The successful candidate will gradually be trained for a management role
