EXPERIENCED FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (m/f)
THE JOB :
The Financial Accountant is responsible for the registration and documentation of all financial and administrative transactions in a proper and timely manner and according to officially accepted accounting standards (Local GAAP and IFRS).
The Financial Accountant also executes some traditional back office activities, is responsible for the measurement of effectiveness, internal and external reporting, financial analysis and reconciliations.
He/she will report directly to the Managing Director based in Luxembourg.
Main responsibilities :
The candidate will be responsible for the following main tasks :
- General accounting, including preparations of the annual and bi-annual accounts Monthly closing (Local GAAP and IFRS)
- Bi-monthly reconciliation with group companies
- Reconciliation and analysis of certain accounts
- Preparation of the monthly IFRS reporting
- Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to HQ
- Responsible for the year end closing and Financial Statements
- Designation of Hedge Relationships according to IAS 39
- Calculation of market values (efficiency measurement) of financial instruments
- Management reporting in conjunction with the Managing Director
- Ad hoc assistance to the Managing Director
- Communication with internal and external auditors
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE :
- An accounting diploma or similar qualification and 3-5 years working experience in a similar function, preferably in the financial sector
- Profound knowledge of SAP
- Profound knowledge of IFRS, especially IAS 39 Hedge Accounting
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- Excellent in either English or German (verbal and in writing)
- International finance experience is a plus
- Must be good team player, but be able to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Accurate and punctual but with a high degree of flexibility
- Be able to handle high work pressure at times and challenging assignments
