FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (m/f)
THE JOB :
The Financial Controller is responsible for controlling all financial transactions, the corresponding payment traffic and the accounting activities.
Furthermore, controlling is responsible for the risk management, internal and external reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
Good communication skills internally and externally in English and/or German will be necessary.
The Financial Controller also monitors risk management with regard to mismatches and adherence to limits and monitors all foreign bank accounts on a daily basis.
He/she will report directly to the Managing Director based in Luxembourg.
Main responsibilities :
The candidate will be responsible for the following main tasks :
- Monthly forecasts and annual budgeting/ 5-year planning
- Risk management and mismatch reporting
- Maintaining and reporting Asset & Liability Management
- Supervisory reporting to Luxembourg and German Central Banks
- Controlling the daily payment traffic and documentation for all new deals
- Daily checking of all bank accounts
- Daily preparation of bank limits report
- Daily monitoring of all group limits
- Control and joint authorization of outgoing payments
- Analysis of periodic results and portfolio results
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to HQ
- Management reporting in conjunction with the Managing Director
- Ad hoc assistance to the Managing Director
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in economics or comparable qualifications and several years of relevant working experience in a similar function, preferably in the financial sector
- Solid knowledge of IFRS
- Good working knowledge of SAP
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- Excellent in either English or German (verbal and in writing)
- International finance experience is a plus
- Must be good team player, but be able to work independently
- Analytical mind, flexible disposition, good communication skills
- Understanding of financial business risks
- Be able to handle high work pressure at times and challenging assignments
