Our client, a well established Investment Management Group with offices in 20 countries, is currently recruiting a Real Estate Accountant (M/F) for its newly opened Luxembourg office. It is intended that the new structure will incur significant growth in the coming years and offers a truly dynamic career path with an exciting organisation.
The successful candidate will be involved in general accounting duties, assisting with monthly closings and account analysis as well as supporting the senior accountant/RE financial controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.
Your Role
• General ledger transactions:
- Accounts payables/receivables
- Cash entries
- Month/quarter end accruals
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts, petty cash payments, payroll related payables, loan receivables/payables, etc.
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly management accounts and year end closings
• Calculate interest on outstanding loans and depreciation of fixed assets
• Help senior accountant/RE financial controller in their jobs

• Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process
Your Profile
• At least a University degree in Accounting
• A minimum of one to three years’ experience preferably gained within the real estate sector
• An accounting background, with strong technical accounting skills
• Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles / IFRS
• Knowledge of financial reporting
• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
• Proficient in use of accounting software such as workbooks, Microsoft Excel
• Fluent in English and German or French
• Attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with problem analysis and problem-solving skills
• Posses communication skills and the ability to take initiative
• You are stress tolerant and work well as part of a team
