Proofreader

This position involves good language skills and requires a high attention to detail:

Your responsibilities:

-       Proofreading: You will be responsible for the proofreading of translations of patents in the fields of mechanics, electronics and chemistry

-       Quality: You will be involved in the last check of proof-read translations

-       Translation: Not regularly and when needed, you may have to translate short texts into your native language.

Your skills:

-       You are able to proofread into at least the following languages: English, French, and German.

-       You are able to prioritise among multiple tasks and work on deadlines

-       You are scrupulous about detailed work, with a meticulous attitude to work

-       You are good at concentrating for long spells

-       You are a good team player

-       You can work under own initiative as member of a small team

Your profile:

-       Experience of at least 5 years in a similar position

-       University degree in translation/foreign languages or in a scientific field

-       Proficient in English, German and French. Another language (esp. Dutch, Swedish or Danish) would be a plus.

This position is temporary (6 to 12 months) and we are open to part-time contracts.
